So, no comments on ALIAS? J.J. must be taking a course at Tim Minear U. That's pretty definitively two characters that aren't going to be coming back, I'd say.

Our wings are not tired.

Alias was bloody good fun.

Re ALIAS, I'm going to think of Sloane as Anjelica Huston - as in THE GRIFTERS - from now on. How disturbing.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It was a a distributed denial of service attack that took down LJ.

And there are rumours that the original Star Wars will be released.

My dad takes glucosamine. He's not sure if it is helping him (bad knees, they've been roto-rootered a couple times) but what prompted him to start taking them was that they did make a difference for the late dog. Yes, he started taking the dog's pills (it was a human OTC brand, after all.)

I inflated the cat last night. It went ok. Not ideal as he was annoyed with me and I managed to squirt some of the fluid all over the wall when he decided he was Done. But it isn't hard, and I figure I'll get better at this. Waiting to hear from the vet when they want to bring him back in to get the insulin levels all sorts and check his liver numbers again.

Also? I wonder if guys realize HOW UTTERLY STUPID they look when they hold their too big pants up by the crotch. Dude, I don't know if you think you are showing off and being fashionable or something but it makes you looks just like my nephew when he's doing the PeePee Dance. Idjits.

Since they don't realize how utterly stupid they look in their too big pants in the first place, I'm gonna go with a big old "NO" here.

Seriously, I've been waiting for the big pants thing to go away for ten years now. Of all the demented fashion trends, THIS is the one that sticks around? W...T...F?

I've been embarassing my teenage neighbor boy with stuff like this. First, I started calling the trend of wearing humongous (down to the knees) tshirts man dresses. I think I'm going to tell him about the PeePee Dance pants term.

Of course, all I get in response from a 14 year old boy is an eyeroll or fisheye, but it's worth a shot.

Punishingly Intricate

My doctor just recommended I take glucosamine for knee pain. Anyone have any experience with it?

There was an NIH study recently that showed there was no difference in pain reduction in patients with osteoarthritis in their knees regardless of whether they took glucosamine (with chondroitin) or a placebo.

Of course that's just one study but it's discouraging.
