My doctor just recommended I take glucosamine for knee pain. Anyone have any experience with it?

I could bore you all to tears with talk about my knitting. Or how wonderful my chiropractor is. Or my ambition to go to yoga class tonight....

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Pretty sure my dad takes it, or did before his knee replacement. I don't recall there being anything of note regarding side effects or anything to be concerned about, but I don't know much more than that.

I didn't think there'd be any side-effects - it's OTC. I was more wondering whether I should bother.

Dr. Andrew Weil has a good website that discusses most alternative treatments in a responsible and non-woowoo fashion.

Stuff of the gods I say. I would look into alternatives as it doesn't agree with everyone, but it keeps my aches at bay.

Excellent. I just don't want to end up taking the stuff for a long period of time. She's given me a referral to a physio too, so maybe the problem will clear up.

My Chiro wants my son to take it for his painful growing pains in his knees too. Not that he does!

While looking for information about the Foreman diagnosis on House, I found this site where the person reviews the medical stuff on the show.

I'm reading through it now and it's really cool! if you like medical jargon and stuff.

You don't want to go there Megan. I can tell it's bad medicine and I'm an arts major. Suspend your disbelief!
