The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Oh, poor Sara, and poor Mr. Kitty. I hope you can take him home tonight.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

If it helps any, I spent half the day yesterday convinced that while I was at work the dog would have somehow knocked over the new bookshelf and crushed herself beneath and I would come home to find her dead or dying on the floor, whimpering pitifully.

Me coming in the door: "Why, you're not crushed even a little bit!"

[Not meant to be flippant, I really hope they can sort Mr. Kitty out right quick.]

Because books.

I think you were completely right to bring him in. Those kind of symptoms aren't something to ignore. Poor Mr. Kitty. Still vibing for you both.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Holy shit -- that fire in Williamsburg is at eight alarms (Gothamist says 10, but I can't find any independent confirmation of that), and growing.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

National Anthem Sung In Spanish At First Bush Inaugural

On Friday, President Bush blasted the idea of singing the Star Spangled Banner in Spanish. But Bush’s highly-scripted 2001 inaugural ceremony actually featured a rendition of the national anthem sung in Spanish by Jon Secada.

...

This morning, ThinkProgress revealed that, according to Kevin Phillip’s book American Dynasty, Bush himself sang the national anthem in Spanish. Looks like Bush’s conviction that “the national anthem ought to be sung in English” was something he acquired very recently.

Aaand now we're trying an appetite stimulant. And I get to learn how to give fluids. He is coming home tonight. The good news is that while yes, he was slightly dehydrated, other than that, he hasn't gotten worse. Not a hell of a lot better (though I can say his attitude is returning to normal now and then) but not worse. It's going to be a day-by-day thing.

Still nothing presenting as a cause. The damned cat just needs to freaking start eating and drinking normally again!

This is just totally nuts. I'm nuts.

Did you know there is a scientific research project called the SAURON Project?

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

{{{Kitty and sarameg}}} I have to give fluids to my kitty every other night. It's not as bad as it seems.

Yeah, I'm not really worried about that. I was seriously wishing I had the ability to do that today, because then I would have been ok with waiting until the Thursday appointment. OTOH, maybe the kitty pot brownie meds will kickstart him eating normally sooner.
