It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Boy has left for the month. Am sad. What do I do with myself on a day like this?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

not much of a milk drinker - but I keep evaporated milk in the house for bakeing and ther is soy , which I use for somethings and not others. I buy soy in the boxes that can be kept in the cupboard unti you open them .

Today , we have gone to the cafe, the drugs store , and found new non running sneakers for matt. I think it is sad that we spent more $$ at the drugstore than the shoe store. Later we will be going to our friend Sam's birthday part. We chip in for a singing telegram from a belly dancer. Sam will be very happy.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I am just barging in while my mom is outside reading and not looking over my shoulder at the screen going "What is that, email?"

Yesterday I went to the LA Festival of Books (And saw Burrell and Isaac the cutiehead). We then went to the Hammer museum to see a talk by Terry Jones, of Python and authorial fame. We got there early with 20 or so other Python Geeks, and Jones arrives, carrying his own laptop and projector and said "Are you all here for me?" and thanked everyone for coming. MY BF nearly expired from fanboy excitement.

Jones spoke and did a whole powerpoint thing on this new series he has just finished called "The Barbarians" and was smart and funny and tremendously charming. It'll be on the Histroy Channel this fall, I think. Afterwards, the BF went up to thank him and managed to keep his cool even though our friend Heather was mouthing over Jones's shoulder at the BF "Kiss him."

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I read a book of Terry Jones on "Chaucer's Knight," which was really excellent and presented a different perspective on the character. His History Channel miniseries of about ten years ago on the Crusades is a blast to watch.

What is even happening?

Transcript of Stephen Colbert at White House Correspondents Dinner. [link]

excerpt:

Joe Wilson is here, the most famous husband since Desi Arnaz. And of course he brought along his lovely wife Valerie Plame. Oh, my god! Oh, what have I said? [looks horrified] I am sorry, Mr. President, I meant to say he brought along his lovely wife Joe Wilson's wife. Pat Fitzgerald is not here tonight? OK. Dodged a bullet.

And we can't forget the new man of the hour, new press secretary, Tony Snow. Secret Service name "Snow Job." What a hero, took the second toughest job in government, next to, of course, the ambassador to Iraq.

Got some big shoes to fill, Tony. Scott McClellan could say nothing like nobody else. McClellan, eager to retire. Really felt like he needed to spend more time with Andrew Card's children. Mr. President, I wish you hadn't made the decision so quickly, sir.
