This is not funny. This... this is a morality tale about the evils of sake.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Has almost nothing to do with anything, but one of my favorite Jilli moments was last Halloween. Her and Pete were at our house when I opened my latest eBay purchase. A celadon green Eddie Bauer cable knit fisherman's sweater.

Jilli looked at it and said, "It's green. And cable knit." Cracks me up to this day.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Go to grad school!

I already did that once! And, I'm in school now getting my teaching certificate (while working full time).

I'm just tired. I've worked for this company for 10 years. I just need some time off. And, last year, I used 15 of my 20 vacation days working in a school for my school program. So, I didn't get much vacation at all last year. And, this year has just been too busy to take time off.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oof, that's a lot, ChiKat. Can you take a mental-health sick day? I know it's not much, but sometimes a random day off can really help. Also, do you take classes over the summer? Maybe just your job and not school on top will feel like a break...? Cold comfort.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

ChiKat, if you're still around, do you have the names of any larger-sized consignment shops in the Chicago area? I just found out that I waited too long to return some stuff that I'm not going to wear, and I can sure use whatever cash I can get for them.

I'm getting a window office!

And it's further from the guy who whistles all day.

I win.

Come on over to the holistic foods side.

I'm not sure what that means. Does it involve wheatgrass?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Jilli looked at it and said, "It's green. And cable knit." Cracks me up to this day.

Cracks me up because I can hear the exact tone of voice.

On me, she uses it whenever I'm fondling something in the lime green range.

(PS, Jilli? The eyeshadow I ordered for myself today was, in fact, lime green with gold shimmer. Because I am Very Very Predictable.)

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

But PMM, last time I saw you, you were a red-head. Green is a good color for you. Lime? Well that would depend on design.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I hope you're happy, PMM. You've just reawakened my lust for lime green gogo dresses. Of which I even already have one.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I love broccoli, spinach, tomatoes (raw or cooked), and seafood.

I don't like melon, marshmallow (unless cooked or in fudge), Indian food, (most) Japanese food.

I'm also sick of work. I'm starting grad school in the Fall but will still be working full time. What's wrong with me???
