Natter .44 Magnum: Do You Feel Chatty, Punk?
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I deleted the e-mail, and I cannot believe I was almost fooled by it. They're really good at their scam, that's for sure!
Endearments: I call kids and dogs "sweetie" and "honey," but that's it, and I sound like a truck-stop waitress when I do so.
I used to use perfume back in high school and college, but stopped after graduating. I have some perfumed lotions, as well as a few scented bath stuff, but hardly ever use them.
In mememe news, just got back from finishing off the paperwork for my new apartment, as well as getting the keys and actually seeing the unit for the first time (before this, I only saw the sample unit they have set up in the clubhouse). Sure enough, it's a bit smaller than the sample, so I'm going to have the movers trash my old loveseat instead of move it, and I'll probably end up putting two of the bookshelves in the dining area instead of just one. I will probably drive up with some stuff on Sunday and make sure they finished cleaning the place up (they just installed new carpet, so it's a bit of a mess today), as well as fill out the move-in checklist so I don't get blamed for any problems when I eventually move out.
I am so sorry to hear about Mister Kitty, sarameg. I hope he feels better soon.
I have taken an accidental break since last Thursday, doing some costumes. It was, to put it bluntly, mass chaos, and still is. Only one example of this is the part where someone's quickchange involves being hosed off in a slop sink because his previous scene he is naked and covered in mud on-stage.
I am not sure that my job should include hosing off naked male students.
Perfume: I am lazy, so I don't wear perfume. But, I love scented lotions. My current favorite is Bliss' Vanilla + Bergamot Body Butter: [link]
Endearments: I use them all the time. Even at work. But, only to those coworkers that I have a friendly relationship with.
Yay for new apartment getting, Kathy!!
The apartment managers are really accommodating to me--not only did they eliminate the $300 cat deposit, but they're only charging me $750/month, instead of the $760 that I thought it was going to be ($750 + $10 for cat rent). I'm guessing that this place is going to work out, despite being smaller than I'd prefer.
Oh, and the other good thing is that there's a huge tree right outside of my living room window that grows past the roof of the building, so my cat will have a tree to look out at, even though we're on the third floor!
Congrats on the new apartment!
If you make sure the water is really really cold, they might not ask you to do that anymore, Sophia....
I have been zen for 6 whole hours. And I'll probably remain that way unless I get a phone call or when I go home, and it occurs to me I might not get a call (since my vet is off) unless something changes. So. Huh. With so many other things, I need to know Right.This.Second every single detail even if it is nothing. NSM now.
wanna hear my new song?
Oh my goodness
I am freaking out
Oh my goodness
There's too much to do
It's got a good beat, but can you dance to it?
Well I can, but I dance to almost anything.
they're only charging me $750/month, instead of the $760 that I thought it was going to be ($750 + $10 for cat rent)
It generally is cheaper to own your own cat than to rent one....
(sorry)
My car has been at the body shop since Sunday night. I called this afternoon, and they think it would be "pushing it" to get it done today.
When I had my car in the body shop, they had it for a month and every time I called to ask when it would be done all they would say is "Well, it had a lot of damage." I wanted to scream "I know it had damage. That's why you're supposed to be fixing it!"
At least when chunks of paint started falling off the new bumper 6 months later they replaced the bumper for free.
Am I being scammed, or do I click it?
Joining the chorus of don't click it.
The funny thing with those scams is I rarely get them at the addy that is attached to my Paypal account, it's always my other accounts. Makes them real easy to spot.
Endearments: I will sometimes refer to female friends I'm particularly close to as "hon", but that's it. Outside of a relationship, anyway. It would never cross my mind to refer to complete stranger as anything but their name, sir, or ma'am.
Only one example of this is the part where someone's quickchange involves being hosed off in a slop sink because his previous scene he is naked and covered in mud on-stage.
Yikes.
