Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

No you don't, Perkins. I'm already plotting skipping my 5pm meeting.

Thigs I love about my workplace: I just passed a woman in the hall carrying a book titled, in BIG letters, "The World of Cephalopods."

Also, Jesse, I've been meaning to say, and please don't kill me, that your schoolwork stress is IMPOSSIBLY CUTE.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"The World of Cephalopods."

In a world... where cephalopods had... the world....

eta: I always look forward to the Friday Cephalopod.

I don't mind that at all, flea! I feel like I'm an enormous drama queen.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

Stay in bed for me Perkins! Because I want to be in my bed right now.

Today's update on the termite situation: Last night, I took Beej's suggestion of the dish soap, including some Braveheart-esque narration. When I got back from the gym, there was another swarm, though smaller. So I'm guessing there's another hole under the windowledge, which I'm sure I'll find tonight when I take apart my computer desk. (So glad it's metal and glass.)

Finally spoke to the office manager today, and she was appreciative of my patience. Seems the company they were contracted with was purchased, and now they don't service Columbus. o.O

So now she's got to go through getting bids and a new contract and whatnot. I asked if we could get a one-time treatment for my apartment, while she's working on the contract. I also mentioned a company that I called yesterday, looking for a stop-gap measure, who was very nice and mentioned that they give free estimates. Ooh, and new update! She's got Orkin and the local company coming Thursday and tomorrow, respectively, and they're going to look at my apartment as part of the estimate process.

Sweet hairy jeebus, get these damn bugs out of my life.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Thigs I love about my workplace: I just passed a woman in the hall carrying a book titled, in BIG letters, "The World of Cephalopods."

I had to go looking for this. And can't find it! It couldn't have been "Cephalopods: A World Guide" [link] could it? Because I have that book! It's very cool.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oof. Massive fallout from yesterday's work craziness. Could be good, could be bad, way too soon to tell. But continued 'ma that we can spin this crap into gold, por favor.

Huh. What's the difference between cuttlefish and squid? I had thought they were the same....
