It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

It does sound nice. But not much like a college town?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Last night I was still awake at 3:00, then I woke up at 5:30 for about 20 minutes, and then woke up again at about 15 minutes ago. I also feel vaguely unwell.

I am contemplating not going to work today.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Not like Ithaca or Austin, Canberra's first business is still government. (Incidentally, I was very impressed with American university towns, you do that very well.) But the ANU is more or less Australia's premier research uni, so it is a more significant presence in the city than it would otherwise be. (Canberra has another university too, Canberra Uni, which is more careers-oriented.) Oh, the ANU is situated between Black Mountain, the National Botanic Gardens, Lake Burley Griffin and the City Centre. (And Turner, but that's less impressive.) So, good location.

Yeah, it has one of the best philosophy departments in the world, which is why Bob is considering applying.

My brother studied philosophy there (as an undergrad, he did his PhD at Melbourne Uni). I can ask him stuff too, if you want.

Thanks for the offer! But I am just noodling until Bob has done more than just consider applying.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Good luck, Brenda.

And bt, you're at the other end of Australia from Monica, correct?

That's correct. And I'm following the weather reports and thinking "at least it's not another El Nino year".
