Shit's all sorts of different now.

Watching the GA recap.

George still makes me cry when he gets Bailey to push. *sniff*

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

tommyrot, I imagine that would be big news in some communities. Aerospace is the "other" industry down there. From what the article says, it seems the good blue collar jobs have dried up and that the white collar folks are still employed. Which sucks because good blue collar jobs are hard to find in the US at all anymore. Let's hope the white collar stuff doesn't start to get exported as well.

Despite my dread, the gig was actually a raging success tonight. Of course the concept kinda sells itself. Thank god. I only flubbed one chord. Although being unsure of what I was playing made it a little harder for me to connect with the audience. Just too worried about what notes I was playing.

One of the players works at Chabot Space Center so she wants us to play the whole thing (a bunch of ukulele players playing "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars") there on May 26th. The crowd really went wild tonight.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Fun stories about the posessed electronics! My stereo turns itself on every night at midnight, but I think that's because the cats managed to program it. I haven't yet figured out how to unprogram it.

How is it daylight already? I just got home from work a couple of hours ago!

I dunno, it's probably something to do with the Earth rotating or whatnot? ::blinks::

Right now it doesn't seem like such a good idea....

Somebody must've been kicking the darkness.

I'm gonna go close my eyes and ignore the light for a little while.

Swouncing

Fun stories about the posessed electronics!

My friends had an air conditioner which, when turned on with a temperature below a certain one, caused the tv to turn on with it. I didn't believe it when they told me, until I saw it with my own eyes.

So, on shabbats, when they didn't want the tv turned on (they're practicing orthodox Jews), they had to be satisfied with a warmer apartment. In Israeli summers, this could be quite a sacrifice.

Oh, and is it still raining in NYC? Because we got such rains here now, that I hope it's theirs and they, at least, get a nice weather. I can't remember when last we had such a winter-y rain after Passover (or any rain, for that matters). Our springs are scorchers-nice weather for a day-some more scorchers, until it's just hot all around for the summer (which is, of course, scorchers-hot and humid weather for a few days-some more scorchers), after the couple of days of the previously described spring.

[Edit: I don't think I've ever written a sentence with that many "scorchers" in it. Must be the rain and the winter outside wishing to end, or something.]

Trust my rage

Timelies, all! I'm sure eveyone is holding their breath, waiting to hear about my laundry. Using Simple Green, I got the stains out of everything but four pink shirts/dresses. I'm going to try again with some new stuff today.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Sadly, it's still raining here.

So, after my last post I got all shaky and realized I had to go to bed immediately, so I did. I still have the headache a little. Am very glad not to be ita at this moment, because I'm pretty sure I won't have a headache tomorrow.

Congrats on the gig, Spidra.

Now I'm watching the rest of the GA clip show and I still love "va-jay-jay." FYI.
