I hate the last 30 minutes of work on a friday.
I wish I only had 30 minutes left. 2 hours to go here.
Also? The endless rain here means that the grass weeds are my biggest crop.
We haven't had much rain this spring at all. I'm worried that it's waiting until the end of May so it can turn our LARP field into a giant mud pit yet again.
ChiKat knows someone who shops there.
Heh.
We don't have any Nordstrom's here, I don't think, and (possibly as a result) they are in my head as the perfect department store, what with the actual customer service and all, all based on one trip there possibly 20 years ago. Also, I hate shopping.
Well, Nordstrom Rack is an outlet store and thus isn't all that different from shopping at (c)Ross Dress-for-Less as far as the experience is concerned. Nordstrom's itself is tony but feels like a lot of other department stores to me. Except that they have a really superior shoe department.
Yeah, that Rock Center thing isn't a whole (department) store, and the others are way suburban.
Façonnable is Nordstrom's? I had no idea.
(The other ones on that list aren't anywhere near the city, and don't count.)
Oh,Nordstrom
Rack.
Anyway, the only clothes I can buy before I get a job are a pair of capris and a few t-shirts.
I hear ya. I feel very odd about the whole thing, but a friend of mine who makes very good money offered to take me on this mini-makeover. I'm very grateful. And I'm trying not to feel too horribly guilty. My usual would have been to say "Thank you so much, but I couldn't possibly".

What is it?
Nordstrom's has personal shoppers. That elevates it above most department stores for me right there. They also sell Smashbox and DKNY sports bras. I don't go to department stores looking for many things, but those two are on my constantly-replenish shopping list.
Mostly I don't want to buy "real" clothes, because I don't know what my next "dress code" will end up being like. I imagine needing a couple suits and a couple of blazers, but not if I end up at a casual place.
