raspberry white chocolate scones
Drool. I used to be all snobby about not putting things into scones. And then I started making scones with crystallized ginger in them. Now I'm totally corrupted. I bought dried cherries and dried cranberries this week to try some variants. I'm going to start with the cranberries and orange zest.
Unfortunately I can't make them until I get home. Sigh. I'll console myself with my will-sapping powers.
If you did, get hit by comet chunkswouldn't you feel stupid, passing up the scone?
Now I want crazy scones-with-yummy-things-in-them too! Alas.
Check out this nutty local news story. At least watch through the "Amateur sketch," although the whole thing is pretty funny. [link]
Frankenbuddha - isn't that just the suckiest thing ever?
Given my own re-watch habits -- I will tape Alias and watch 24 live. (I re-watch Alias with more enjoyment than I do 24.)

I did want to ask them for a scone with comet chunks, but I didn't see anyone behind the counter with a rubber glove on their heads.
I'm all latted up now, so I might survive the next couple of hours in here without having to pull a sarameg mud/bug dive.
I'll console myself with my will-sapping powers.
Now I want biscuits from the Biscuit Eater in Mahone Bay!
Now I want biscuits from the Biscuit Eater in Mahone Bay!
What are they like? I've never heard of the Biscuit Eater.
It's a little cafe/bookstore in Mahone Bay, and the last time I was there I had the most nummy biscuits and a great spicy lentil soup that I keep meaning to try to recreate. Their biscuits are similar to scones in tastes but have a crustier outside and slightly different texture inside. I had one, and instantly wanted to eat twelve more.
