I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Heeeeerrrrreeeee motivation, motivation, motivation! Heeeeeerrrrrrreeee motivation, motivation, motivation! I have some nice things for you to do this morning!

OMG, for reals. I cannot do anything except read TWOP recaps. I'm all behind and I watched lots of TV last week!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I have motivation! Of course, it's motivation to go home and go back to sleep, but still...

What is even happening?

It's not the fullest trunk, but it has its share of junk.
I love this. I'd tag it, but these days, mine might be the fullest trunk.

Slavery or pervy really seem to be the only options when Daddy is overly interested in such things.
I think that's overstating the case, although I'd have rather died than gone to one of those dances.

Some families work themselves out that the parents feel not only are their children their responsibility, but that it actually is within their ability (beyond rules, role-modeling and other forms of influence) to ensure their children's good behavior. The dance strikes me as odd, too. As far as I know, I don't know anyone who would participate, but I can imagine knowing well meaning people who are into neither the property nor incestous angles of it, participating in such a thing.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

He just owned it and needed to maintain his investment.

It shifts him to pimp, and I can't get the dirt out of that either.

Being pimped by your father is less ooky than doing him, but I feel I'm splitting hairs.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I don't have any motivation, but I do have guilt, because I stayed up late last night (and, okay, the night before) playing Sims (I got the new expansion pack on the cheap b/c of a labeling error at the Buy, yay, me and my assertiveness worth $15) and although I'm tired like woah, it's totally my fault and I still have piles and piles of stuff to do. Otoh, I'm hungry, and I have fajita fixings for lunch. Maybe it's time for lunch.

I can't even.

So ditto on the motivation absence. The sun is shining, my boss is on vacation, and I'm mostly caught up on stuff. Yeah, I could work ahead and make things easier for me down the road, but uhh, that's currently a struggle.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I'm looking at Halloween costumes.

I'm ridiculous in my work-avoiding.

Coding and Sleeping

I'm getting ready to listen to the Royals game on the radio. They are currently the worst team in baseball, but I'm still holding out hope they can improve somehow and end the season as next to worst team in baseball. Gotta admit the season is young, but it doesn't look good.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Being pimped by your father is less ooky than doing him, but I feel I'm splitting hairs.

Sort of like the eternal dilemma of: if you had to fuck either Carrot Top or Andy Dick, who would you choose?

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I can imagine knowing well meaning people who are into neither the property nor incestous angles of it, participating in such a thing.

Oh, I'm fairly certain that members of my extended family would've done this sort of thing when their daughters were young if Dobson and his ilk had thought of it by then. That said, I don't think that these people are at the forefront of self-analysis, and it is quite telling that the father of the family hand-picked each of his daughters' husbands and has used his considerable influence with the Army (he's a Colonel) to shape these young men into mini-Mes.
