Also? NICE TALK ON THE DAY OF OUR LORD SAVIOR'S RESURRECTION!!
Ah, but that's how I know I can get away with the potty mouth. Jesus said so.
Just like Slim Fast.
Dude -- this is even worse (to me). They've moved on past the "eat our cereal for two meals a day" into "replace your ENTIRE CAKE of a nighttime snack with our cereal."
You knew, but a lot of people don't.
But three of your four examples are way more complex than "a bowl of diet cereal has fewer calories than a jumbo bag of chips."
People can clarify and explain their posts, they can even adjust their stances on things and CHANGE THEIR OPINIONS!
Not according to ita. She claims there should be no takebacks.

It is your opinion that the people they're trying to reach know jack about nutrition. It is mine that there are enough ignorant people for it to be a viable marketing strategy. I have no numbers to provide you, though.

I claim that precedent has been set, and takebacks are allowed. Pay you no attention?
OMG! Jon Stewart is on News Radio! He looks sooo young.
Okay, this Lifetime TV movie (it's a Colin appearance, or I wouldn't be here) is slower than frozen molasses. Conflicts? Few and far between.
newsflash ----- Perkins ----- newsflash
sometimes ita is full of it (wherein "it" = loads of crap).
sometimes ita is full of it
So you disagree with me that takebacks are okay?
I'm
so
confused.

Yeah, you know what I actually think the marketing strategy is, now that I think about it? "Special K makes you lose weight. And you can eat it all the time! One bowl a day? Pfft!!"
You know, msbelle, I can read inside your parentheses. And so can Jesus.
I also think that, if someone is used to having an entire cake as a nighttime snack (or even just a really huge piece of cake like they show in the commercial), they're not going to be able to stop at just one bowl of cereal. (There was some diet book that claimed that a single potato chip has 500 calories, since, once you eat one, you end up eating the whole bag.)
