I've never had gefilte fish, but I don't understand why anchovies are supposed to be nast. I snack on the things.

Since, as is frustratingly typical, Bob cannot find his US passport, what would lead to the least hassle at the two border crossings: a birth certificate + driver's license to show US citizenship or his Irish passport?

Do the Irish need visas to come to the US? He might have to go through the biometrics stuff (a Swedish friend had to). If the birth certificate & license live up to the US and Mexican official requirements, I'd go with them.

Before I was a vegetarian, I liked gefilte fish. It was one of the few kinds of fish I'd eat as a kid.
