Getting laundry done so I have something to wear to my dad's for Easter dinner. Unfortunatey, someone else had the same idea, but at least they thought of it 30 minutes before I did, so they have their stuff already in the dryer. I should have my laundry all done by noon, so I'll still be relatively on time.
Other than that, I'm really on the ball today--I've set up my VCR for tonight's West Wing, took my shower, and even did the rest of my dishes from last night!
Apropos of Easter, here's a fun quiz on reincarnation (ok, it's not quite the same thing as resurrection). I'm returning as a bear.

Not quite at the "completely sick of matzah and related products" stage, but getting close.
I'm so with you. On the plus side, I've never made it this far into Passover without breaking down, so yay. On the down side, so flat. So very, very flat.
amy, you're all unleavened.

Did you hear that baking powder and baking soda can be considered kosher for Passover now (if they're certified by Orthodox kosher-for-Passover certification people)? (The logic apparently being, well, if they'd had baking powder at the time, there would have been time to make biscuits just as easily as matzah.)

Where you at Typhoon?
Yes, yes I was. It came down to crickets or ants (they totally need a 4-insect sampler appetiser) and the waiter recommended the crickers.
I did hear that, Jess. And it makes all kinds of sense -- what with quick breads being quick, and all.

Ah. I would have headed upstairs, myself. Oh well.

They were good. In fact, we kept eating them after the main meals came, and I'm pretty sure we got every single one, sifting through the potato strings (which got eaten some), the chunks of raw garlic (which each of us tried just the once), and the peppers which were completely avoided.
I had crispy duck as the main meal, and it was great. Came with a liquid and a pile of spices for dipping. Nummy. And I had sticky rice (with mango) for the first time.
Yum. That sounds good. I need to come down to LA soon.
