GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Whoo, shrift!

80 degrees here today and I get off at noon. Yay.

It's 71 degrees here, it looks like a hell of a storm is rolling in, and I have to be here until 6. Boo.

My "new" car (bought in September) has headlights that actually turn off when you turn off the car in general, so I am much less likely to run down the battery.

My Malibu does the same thing, as well as the auto-on. If my next car has manual lights, I'm so screwed.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Heh, this amuses me because the first name of the guy who would be letting us go early (not that I expect that to happen) is "Dean". If he ever referred to himself as "The Dean" I'd never stop snickering.

I used to be support staff for an elderly professor whose first name is Dean. He used to scare students and others into doing what he wanted by always leaving it unclear whether he was "the Dean" or not.

I think I have plans to go for drinks with at least 3 different groups of people today. Alcoholiday!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

yo, flea! There's someone giving out free locopops in front of my building right now.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

So who (besides brenda) gets half or all the day off today as a holiday?

Me me me!!!! Woot!!!

I'm mostly excited b/c I *finally* got enough sleep last night! And it's a gorgeous day here, so for the rest of the day I will loaf around and also play outside.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

He used to scare students and others into doing what he wanted by always leaving it unclear whether he was "the Dean" or not.

That's so awesome.

I am trying to write a case-study. So far, I have typed up my notes for my other group-mates, in hopes that they will help me. I think I picked the wrong organization to write up.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

So, I'm trying to put together the summer semester schedule and I have adjuncts who told me not two weeks ago "Yes, I want to teach this summer. Yes, I want this course at this time on this day." And now that I've sent out my final, "You're confirmed to teach this course at this time on this day and it's going out in the registration bulletin today" they are backing out. Arrrggh. Why are people so flaky? Biscuit-heads.

My father the astronomer hates hates hates the automatic headlights. Why? Because you can't turn them off when approaching an observatory at night, thus risking ruining someone's observation (I spent many evenings in childhood creeping slowly in a dark car up iffy roads towards open domes. ) They finally had to put in a parking lot down the hill after several of the university vehicles came with this feature. It's a rare complaint, I suppose.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

People, have you been captivated? The following seems, I dunno, an overstatement? [link]

And so it was on Hudson Street in Greenwich Village yesterday, where the fate of a little cat named Molly has captivated New York and much of America.

Although Roger Clark did make me laugh this morning with a characteristically cheesy "Cat Trapped Fever" joke.

ION, I meant to take some Tylenol on my way out the door this morning, but forgot in the rush. The left side of my body is apparently rebelling or something. My shoulder has been acting up for over a week, I have no idea what's wrong, it just sometimes is sore and sometimes it hurts a lot when I move a certain way, but other times it's fine. I strained a muscle in my thigh sparring in sword class last night and I've got a blister on my heel from my shoes coming untied while walking around the city last weekend. But my right side is completely fine, other than some minor bruising and general soreness from sparring last night.
