No, it's shiny! I like to meet new people. They've all got stories...

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

The only thing to watch out for with Hustle is that not all the repeats are letterboxed, so make sure and watch the Saturday airings or you'll risk getting the pan-n-scan version. (All 12 eps are also ahemable.)

also, (they may have changed this) the first several episodes did not have unique descriptors, so Tivo would record several versions of the same ep because it had no way to distinguish them. That changed after a while, so they may have changed it for this running.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think I have two copies of the second episode of Heist for similar stupid tagging reasons. I am so about descriptive metadata, you have no idea.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

What happens when a man covered in microphones walks into a room covered with speakers? Feedback. Lots of it.

Heh. It actually sounded cooler than I thought it would. Plus, it alarmed my cat.

Okay, see that last car chase in Heist? No way he could make it to LAX via surface streets in the time implied by the script. If only.

Huh. Hustle, Thief, Heist? What's up with the bad boys?

Johanna was telling me earlier today that when... um... one of the above was starting, the reaction was, "Wow, what a great idea for a show! Why aren't more people doing that?" And then, suddenly, everyone was. (I assume she got this factoid from EW, or something similar.)

I just emailed Joe Bob, because I have problems. But maybe he'll call me 'hon' and make me feel better.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Okay, see that last car chase in Heist? No way

Was it Jack Bauer behind the wheel?

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I do not know why someone would do that. ( feedback man) I had to cover my ears to kill the high end. In real life I would have been dead.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

Andrew Vachss book (and character)

Hey, Strega, I know a guy who goes by "Gus Sheridan" for exactly the same reason. When I first started posting online, I went by "Fater," which was the Richard Buckner song I was listening to when I registered for Table Talk.

This is just a random petty itch, but if you have any pull at TWOP, could you see if someone other than Kim could do the Sopranos recaps? She seems like a decent writer, but she's too focused on the superficial (such as delving into Carmela's outfit a couple of weeks ago) and not mentioning most of the juiciest symbolism they've ever served.

Was that a faux pas?

billytea, that's just about the only explanation.

Strega, I know Thief has been in the works for forever. Either it was the one that started it, or they hauled it out of the vault when the trend was getting underway.

Watching the Richard Dean Anderson Simpsons. He sounds really goofy.
