The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I've been informed that I need to get a stick blender. What kinds do people recommend?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Mine is a Braun, it cost $20 on sale, and it's great! The bottom part pops off for cleaning. It doesn't do anything fancy (chop ice, etc.) but it gets the blending job done.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have this, Perkins, and I love it very much. I ditched a lower wattage one for it.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I have this one. It works well for me.

No clue on stick blenders, unfortunately, Perkins.

I do, however, have over 150 paperback romances you can take off my hands! I'm in the midst of weeding out my bookshelves to try and reduce the number of boxes the movers will need to schlep over to my new place (which I paid for a credit check for today--Wo0t!), and the paperback romance bookshelf is going to get cleaned out if I can do anything about it. Unfortunately, I've gotten rid of all the romances I can, and must keep these last 225 (yes, I counted while reviewing the titles to see if there were any more I could part with, and yes, I'm a pathetic bibliophile if this is only a small fraction of my book collection).

But, I might be able to move these books from the 6'H x 4'W slightly wobbly bookshelf my dad slapped together for me back in 1993 for my first apartment to the 4'H x 2.5'W one, leaving me with "just" four other bookshelves to go through and try to reduce to four bookshelves total to move. Yay!

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I didn't catch the Daily Show, but couldn't agree more that there is none more awesome than Studs Terkel.

He was great on TDS, and as any true raconteur would be, was very disappointed that he had no time to talk about Bush or Delay!

I loved the Studs Terkel interview-- "I can tell the president to bugger off, and that is being an American."

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

holy crap, why did I think Studs Terkle was dead?

Now I'm all excited he's not.
