Tom DeLay, the former House majority leader, will not seek re-election and will announce his withdrawal from his congressional race on Tuesday, MSNBC's Chris Matthews reported Monday night.
Matthews, host of MSNBC's “Hardball,” said that DeLay told him in an interview that “the polling on him in the 22nd District was going down,” as a result of his part in a campaign contribution controversy.

Happy birthday, Tom Scola! For your present I give you Tom DeLay's imminent absence from Congress soon.
It is a myth, they say, that the tinned fish can explode.

Bwah!
I was also very HSWTF about the end of 24.

It sounds like they should ban tinned fermented herring from the planet.
Ah, yes. Shoot them into the sun! Justification for our space program!
Favorite trick (in recent memory) learned from Scola: No orange fingers when you eat Cheetos with chopsticks.
Skipping ahead, I've repeated that to so many people. Brilliant.
