Mostly lurking...

My important clocks have switched over.

Most of our clocks were already switched over. That's what happens when we're all to lazy to change them from, well, fall back.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Most of our clocks were already switched over

This change is the one more likely to get made in a timely fashion, since for the lame clocks, forwards is easier than backwards. Still, as long as my phone and computers and TiVo know the time, that's what's important.

Given that I CAN'T FIND MY NEW WATCH, I don't have to worry too much about that.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

OK, now I'm stuck.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So pretty, sara!

Last night, I kept not being able to change the time on my watch and having to scroll through all 31 days of the year on the date thingy.

I hate my paper. FYI.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Capitalism is over-rated, I suppose. But there's all these other things I'm supposed to want that seem to be associated with capitalism.

And really, what I want is a job I enjoy and enough time left over to do some writing and do some traveling. I don't even need more money than I make now.

And yet I find myself being shoved uphill into management. It's totally the Peter Principle in action, I swear.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Ack! Discovered blue mold on the crust of my bread after I'd eaten a slice and a half of it! Oh well, at least I probably won't catch any bugs today.

April Fool's last gasp at me was not realizing it was an hour later than I thought when I woke up this morning. But, silver lining-wise, I ended up having a quickie with a local pal and then seeing a fun production of Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens this afternoon.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

When he says, "So what was the main principle you wanted them to take away? What would you do differently next time?" I know they're important questions, but I keep feeling like there's a right answer and I don't know it, and I want to say, "Just tell me what I did wrong already!"

Ooh, that's so irksome!

Heh. That's how I teach. Most of the time the students really can come up with an appropriate answer, they just don't realize that they can. And on the practical side, I lose my voice if I try to lecture.

Shoulder pain kept me awake until almost 6am and the alarm was set for 7. I think I want to nap now.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I graded papers for awhile. Still not done, but I think they're just not going to get done by tomorrow.

I'm trying to decide what to have for dinner. My plan was to make this tofu and watercress dish that's really good and fairly simple, but it also takes a long while (marinating and rice-cooking.) Maybe I'll save that for tomorrow, and have a salad and a sandwich or something tonight.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Tom is test driving a hot cross bun recipe to see if it would work to bring for Easter dinner, and also toasting up/grinding spices for the carribean spiced brick-grilled butterflied chicken. It smells so good... I want to be finished with my work!

Only a couple sentences to go, to finish the 2nd page...

OK, it was one more sentence and now I am knocking off for the night!!

(of course, I still have a shitload of work to do on this paper, but I have another week)
