If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

See, I have a suspicious dog. I flipped her a Tums once when she was really bothering me begging, and it was six months before she would catch something out of the air again. She'd just let them drop so she could check it out first.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

This is why I shouldn't have a dog.

Or a baby.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Unless the baby likes tums.

My child? Would live on them.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I filed my tax returns, paid my rent and cable bill, and washed all the supper dishes.

Waiting for my cookie.

A bit of googling isn't getting me any cites for the bouquet toss representing virginity. The two most common internet explanations seem to be...

Yeah, my own googling is showing that either a) I read an article sometime somewhere that was unusual or wrong or b) I was mixing it up with garters which were a virginity thing.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ugh.

Second tow truck finally showed up. AAA allows me 100 miles of tow, so it towed me about 40 miles to Santa Monica. I did not envy him his drive back to Simi.

They diagnosed the car as having an errant brake sensor (it wouldn't tell the car it was safe to come out of park, nor light the brake lights). So I napped in the waiting room while they fixed it--a couple of hours.

Kravved two classes, and am old school exhausted.

Waiting for the Thai delivery food to show.

Dead, dead, dead.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Good grief.

No shit. But I did also get them to replace my windshield wipers, and DAMN. They've sucked for forever. I can see clearly now, although the rain is not gone.

I'll go all silver lining and say that this is a good thing.

Because the whole car not working is obviously quite the bitch to deal with already.

I should get my wipers changed. And the spray washer fluid thingie fixed. It doesn't appear that rain here is a random chance thing so much as regular thing.
