Don't quote me, but isn't the "chemical reaction" in a shell casing dependent on O2 to actually burn? Most firey explosions have that problem.
It has it's own O2. If it didn't, the cartridge would do more of a smolder than a bang.

So sad that Tom is an oatmeal raisin cookie hata. I have much love for the oatmeal cookie. She's so strong, she can take on anything and still be good - plain, with raisins, with chocolate chips. I've not had the peanut butter chip variety, but now I want to.
