She's terse. I can be terse. Once in flight school, I was laconic.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I am watching West Wing, and I haven't what in a while. What is Toby in trouble for? Who is he protecting?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Happy birthday, Allyson! Hope you are having a wonderful day.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I kind of wish I had cereal right now, but not enough to go to the store to buy it. Maybe oatmeal will do. Hmmmmm.

He leaked the fact that the white house was letting astronauts in space station die. It is unclear whether he is protecting his brother 9an astronaut or CJ)

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Email just sent to my bank:

Today, you ruined my birthday. My card came up declined, twice. For no reason, as I can plainly see plenty of cash in my account, and no unusual activity. I was humiliated at the cash register. I just wanted to buy myself a few nice things to celebrate. You're one of the largest banks in the US, and you don't have 24 hour customer support?

You've ruined my birthday, and there's nothing you can do to make it up to me.

I realize that if I were never born, there'd still be a BoA, and that this email means nothing to you, of course. So, I'll just put a quiet curse on your institution and hope you get bought out by another bank, resulting in massive layoffs.

But hey, thanks for the birthday wishes, everyone!

I think I'll go freshen up and try to let the rage burn off before dinner.

God, that sucks, Allyson. Great email, though.

In less bad but still disappointing news, my formerly-new-favorite channel Sleuth totally let me down! They haven't run all of Homicide yet, but they went back to the beginning! They haven't showed the whole Luther Mahoney arc yet! Bah. In better news in my world, my oatmeal turned out yummy, with homemade jam (made by my aunts).

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oh, David, I'm sorry. That job was sucking, though, right?

Yeah, but it sucked and was a source of income. They're being pretty stingy on the severence but I've banked my vacation days so I'll cash out about a month's worth. Between that and the book advance and the unemployment I'm just going to look at is as short term grant to work on the book.
