Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthday, Allyson! May your next year kick even more ass than the last.

I'm considering forgoing watching the Daily Shows and Colberts from last week. Anything especial I should check out, people who did watch them?

Always Anti-fascist!

I understand that Russ Feingold was good, but I was in the shower and missed him. Aw, Nilly thinks of me as "Murder in Baltimore" Like "April in Paris" but bloody, maybe. Still incredibly single, but not surprised, considering all the time I spend in Munchkinland learning that love is hopeless.

You know what's great about being back home? I don't need to plan out what I'm going to say. I just called a friend and literally paused to figure out the words, and then remembered I could just leave the message in English. Heh.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

My mom got him a little kid sized house for the backyard that has a wee nephew-sized picnic table and the front door has a doorbell that goes, "DING DONG!"

Best gift ever. Wow. If the backyard wasn't such a hazard zone I'd consider getting one myself.

Ohh, Burrell, the butter yellow must really open up the room. It's such a fresh cheery color. Did you find that walking into the house after the painting you'd think, "yeah, this is home."?

Sorry to disappear on you for so long (a friend stopped by, then eat time, as Franny calls it, then naptime). But yes, the color really warms up the room and makes me smile. I really need to invite folks over more, show it off a bit. After the dining room is finished. It's still far from finished, but it is way more livable than the crack den we moved into.

I love painting my nails.

OPI route beer float on the hands

Sally Hansen silver chrome on the feet, I am going to try putting some purple polka dots on the toes. Not something I'd normally do, but spring here and the weather still too cool for open toe shoes makes it seem like a good idea.
