Everything was just fine, right up to the point where they crashed my car.
....
Um. Ick.
I'm going to get right on calling my mechanic to fit in an oil change and general go over now.
If you do walk to a drive up atm, I think you should pantomime as if you were driving.
I just discovered I neglected to put on earrings this morning. For me, this is akin to forgetting to put on a shirt or something. Feel so weird.
Um, so, your mechanics, their insurance company will be replacing your car, yes?
Well, it doesn't need to be replaced, but it'll need a lot of body work, and oh ho ho ho
yes,
they're paying for it.
Steph thought of the one that I did.
right up to the point where they crashed my car.
That sucks Shrift. I hope your car is one whose insurance value is something like it's real value.
oh ho ho ho yes, they're paying for it.
Good. They should cover a rental until it's ready, too.
I guess after seeing the Jiffy Lube guy talking on the cell while whipping my car around a blind corner, I shouldn't be too surprised when mechanics crash cars. But I'm still sitting here all WFT?
Keeping the Faith -- that was a fantastic movie, even if it did co-star Jenna Elfman.
They should cover a rental until it's ready, too.
Oh, they'll be paying for that, too. If they try to weasel out of anything, they'll find that they won't like me when I'm angry.
And I think WTF? is a perfectly reasonable reaction to mechanics crashing cars.
I go to see if deli can break $100. If not, I walk to drive-up ATM.
Fraser's character in
School Ties
is definitely portrayed positively. But, no, I can't really think of anything else besides
Garden State
and
Leap of Faith.
shrift, the fuck? Grrr!
Katherine Harris is a blight.
They should also pay you for diminished value, Shrift, and possibly buy you a pony.
They should also pay you for diminished value, Shrift
Yeah. It depends on how bad the damage is. If the frame is bent, there will be a big loss of value even after the car is fixed. If it's just a body panel and related stuff that need to be replaced, then... well I don't know - maybe a small loss of value or no loss at all.
I sold my Focus to... what's that big-ass chain of car dealerships? (eta: Carmax.) They inspected it first but never noticed that a fender had been replaced (eta: or they didn't care). They refuse to buy cars that have had the frame bent.
