Anya, the Shopkeepers of America called. They wanted me to tell you that 'please go' just got replaced with 'have a nice day.'

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

TAR: My show is baaaack!! When the ep started, I picked either the gay guys or the geeks to be eliminated, and I was half right. Delighted to find that I chose wrong with the latter couple, since I ended up liking them more than I thought I would. I would not have minded if the Frosties did finish last, though, since they shrieked far worse than the Bowling Moms ever did .

So, we have a bunch of nicknames already: the hippies, the frosties, the nerds/geeks, Team Slacker (ok, that's just my name for them, but they're so damn proud to not be working for a living--must be great not to be worrying about bills), and MoJo. Any others?

Oh, and I really felt for the Chicago woman who was being ogled while putting together the motorcycle. Those macho dudes were really blatant about it, and you can tell it was getting to both of them.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Reading everybody's food skeeves is a good reminder for me that, when it comes to food, I am the weirdo because I have so few food dislikes. I am fond of pretty much all the cuisines mentioned so far, especially sushi. I love bitter veggies like spinach and collard greens and kale (although the best greens by far are beet greens). I hated okra when I was a kid, but now I love it too. I prefer my chocolate dark and my meat rare, but I take my coffee with cream & sugar.

I'd say my main food aversion is green peppers. And raw oysters. I'd repressed them for a second.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I like milk chocolate, and cream in my (strong) coffee, but no sugar.

Earl Grey iced tea with lemon, no sugar.

Salty for breakfast rather than sweet.

So, did they, um, nevermind, I'm not sure I want to know.

No Brenda, they didn't eat them, which I think is your question. But the mongols did view the chinese as sort of subhuman because of their grasseating ways.

But, "To the Mongols, the farmers' fields were just grasslands, as were the gardens, and the peasants were like grazing animals rather than real humans who ate meat. The Mongols referred to these grass-eating people with the same terminology tha they used for cows and goats. The masses of peasants were just so many herds, and when the soldiers went out to round up their people or to drive them away, they did so with the same terminology, precision, and emotion used in rounding up yaks." From Genghis Khan and the Making of the Modern World.

Relatively interesting stuff.

Hey Burrell, I'm trying to go see Ashes and Snow this weekend. Maybe Sunday afternoon. Are you interested?

She was like unintelligible.

Liar.

SA it was me who said that. I am starting to think it is not so bad if I avoid long i's. In my head though, even typing this I hear the accent.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I can eat them, but I am not sure why I should. hate iceberg lettuce too. I think most people eat it for the dressing. I prefer my greens to have flavor.

I actually like iceberg, and I don't usually put dressing on salads at all. There's something about it being very cool and refreshing that you don't get with other greens. I don't usually have just iceberg, but I like it when its there.

Kathy, wasn't that awful outside the motorcycle shop. But I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree on Slacker - they're so repellant they need a nastier name.

Not COMPLETELY unintelligible. Just like unintelligible.
