What's the singular of hamentashen?
Like that's ever going to come up.

Thanks, Wolfram.
Oh, I've never tasted one with that. The traditional filling is poppy seeds (is that how you write it?), and there are lots with chocolate and with dates.
Yep, poppy seeds. I think apricot is fairly typical here, along with prune and the other stuff you said.
Now I want coffee and hamentashen. And I've never even had hamentashen.
What's the singular of hamentashen?
If there is one, I've never heard it. I mean, a singular form would imply that you can eat just one, which is impossible.
picture him being bonked about the knees by toddlers
Oh, that's adorable!
Wolfram! How is the new baby? And her older siblings? Did they wear costumes yesterday?
Jen! How lovely to see you posting again.

So you're saying Yiddish has more understanding of the human nature than Hebrew? Because, well, yeah, apparently. And less about eating disfigured human organs [Edit: and now I'm imagining a Jewish zombie going around with "eeeeeeeeeeears".]
I am celebrating the great secular holiday of Girl Scout Cookies. I could get hamentashen at a nearby bakery. Hmmmmm.
Thanks, Nilly! I have been lurky, but I forget that, well, no one knows if you're only lurking.
I missed the Girl Scout cookies this year. No Samoas for Jen. So sad. But, some friends did send me a box of Thin Mints, bless 'em.
Perkins! I've skipped - are you on jury duty?
Sadly, yes.
It was the other day in Kansas/Missouri. So I guess the closest to Erin/Gud territory, if anyone?
Storms missed me almost entirely, there were a few seconds of hail but that was it. I grilled some chicken outside with a soutwest style marinade that night. Erin proabably got more weather, but not any of the serious stuff.
Nilly!
I like hamentaschen, especially apricot hamentaschen.
Doing my usual of lingering in my warm bed checking the 'net before taking my bath. Wish the Starbucks free coffee thing started earlier in the day since I have to be in the office by 8:30. I'm scrounging for ideas for a quick breakfast and bringing lunch to work. I think my laziness about braving the grocery store crowds is finally catching up with me. I want to eat low sugar/starch but it's hard if I don't go to work prepared. I cheated and had some office pretzels yesterday since I hadn't brought enough food of my own.
