Oh, see, I love the
continuing legs. Because they totally fuck with the team's headspaces, and that makes the race interesting.
I do wish that people would READ THE DAMN CLUE before volunteering for Roadblocks, though. The hint says
"Take the plunge" and you are STANDING NEXT TO A SWIMMING POOL. Think, people, think!
AND
I was all excited that the teams were getting all moved around order-wise, but the jackholes were still first?!?
Ah, but
that's the beauty of an extra-long leg! Anything could happen! Lake's car could explode for no reason!
Yes, please. I thought that the
continuation episode was particularly cruel this time . .. cruel for ME. That is.
I can't believe the numbers of people who think that TAR is a good place to learn to overcome your fears.
TAR: Well, I knew something was up when it was
9:55 and nobody had checked into the "pitstop" yet! I liked the TBC ep this time around, because it looks like they're off to Germany next, and seeing them cram in two rather distant countries with no 12-hour break in between will more than likely cause some Killer Fatigue, which is usually good TV (remember Millie and Chuck?).
Also loved the Pinks reaction to Lori and Dave,
"How can you both be so relaxed?!" The secret to Team Geek Love's success, I think.
I was weak and read the TAR whitefont.
I like the TBC endings too.
Yay.
I got made an alternate on a trial that might last until the end of next week. Boo.
Oh, long-term jury duty. Big boo. I had a co-worker who was out for a week on a murder trial (prisoner shivved a fellow convict while in the prison barbershop). Worst thing for co-worker was that the trial was at 26th and California, the courthouse in the diciest area of town with a parking lot in which you feel more vulnerable than you should surrounded by police.
ETA a completely different note--if you missed tonight's TDS/Colbert Report, make sure you catch the rerun tomorrow, because they were both excellent! The Paul Hackett/Ed Helms piece was one of the funnier bits I've seen on that show in a long time.
Skippity skip skipped since work had me working today and hundreds of posts were more than I could do.
It's a well done House/Wilson vid.
That's the first time I've seen footage of House. I've been a fan of Hugh Laurie since The Black Adder. I was really wondering how he'd sound doing an American accent. Like most Brits, I think he overcompensates on the "r", but I'm not sure I'd notice it if I didn't know he wasn't American. It sure is weird to see/hear him like that, though. I'm waiting for Netflix to send House my way.
Sorry, Perkins -- being an alternate seems like the worst of all worlds. But at least you probably won't have to stick around for the deliberations, right?
