I like whipping cream in my tea and coffee more than half and half.

It was such a lovely day yesterday. I spent way too much money on a pretty, pretty passport holder. Then I had some of the best herb mashed potatoes I've ever had in my whole life. Ever. Then I saw The Libertine which was a truly bad movie with some of my favorite actors ever. But at least I got to tell the Weinstein Company how bad the movie was because they had a market research woman in the lobby conducting surveys on the re-release. Dear Harvey, it's still a really bad movie. All in all a good day.
And now today is grey and rainy and perfect for staying indoors and listening to Otis Redding.
I finally upgraded my cable so I can have broadband internet.
I feel like the Queen of Teh Internets.
Now have to cancel my phone, AOL, and clean the place up so it wont be embarassing when the cable person gets here.
How was Depp's performance, kat?
Allyson--welcome home. What are you doing about your AOL email address? And why are you cancelling your phone?
Today I made egg-in-the-hole for breakfast, and I got a double-yolk egg in mine. Woot!
I shall take this as a sign that my cold will end today. 'Cause why not?
No, that movie does not exist. You made that up just then.
OMG -- I completely left out the part where he gives all his staff nicknames, didn't I?
I've finally picked a course to use use my ICE gift certificate on. I'm going to take Cheese Wars: Wine vs Beer. Doesn't that sound like fun?
Join an award-winning brewmaster and a top sommelier for a fascinating exploration of flavor. Fine wine has long been considered the best accompaniment to the world’s great cheeses, but brewmaster Garrett Oliver begs to differ. Traditional beers, he says, are a more harmonious pairing for even the most complex cheeses. Sommelier Jerri Banks concedes the pleasures of beer, but wields great wines that she says accompany cheese perfectly. The finest cheeses. Great wines. Artisanal beers. Who will win the cheese wars? Jerri Banks, wine consultant and formerly of Cellar in the Sky, Windows on the Work and Fressen, and Garrett Oliver, brewmaster of the Brooklyn Brewery, go toe to toe with the world’s great cheeses, and the winner in this exciting joust of flavor matching will surely be your taste buds.

Sorry, must disagree. I've seen it. It's a message movie -- "We could solve all our problems if we just had a dictator to run things."
Bah. Stupid post-birthday hangover.
Actually, it's pretty mild - just a headache and a feeling of 'blah.' I'm hoping coffee will help. Plus, there is oatmeal....
Thanks again for all the birthday wishes....
Drew--so you're working on the Tracy Letts play? He used to be the BF's client, back when the BF was an agent, and is now a good friend of ours. I believe we're going to the show with him when he gets out here. I'll be able to hear your work!
I haven't seen The Libertine, but the Boston Globe reviewer made a point of praising Depp's performance amidst all the bad-movie drek.
I went out shopping at the Super Stop 'N Shop with VW -- which was like an epic shopping for me. I bought $62 worth, although half of it was for this vacuum-Swiffer thingie that I suddenly couldn't resist. It may be mind-control rays, or maybe subliminal messages in the Muzak.
I did resist the Sudafed Shower tablets, but barely, only remembering at the last minute that strong smells give me headaches, so why would I use them if I had one already?
They actually had a Coming Soon display for the self-cleansing shower thingie! Just empty boxes!
Oh hangover bad Tom. Drink water or gatorade if you can stand it.
I made waffles with strawberries and whipped cream for breakfast since MIL is here this morning. And Godiva coffee which is as yummy as it smells.
I'm in my jammies and life is good.
