I've lived in 16 places, including all college residences, here and abroad.
For some reason I thought that number would be higher...
My record of staying in one place (since moving from my childhood home at 12 years old) was my Somerville apartment without Tom, I was there 6 years I think.
So has anyone else noticed that when you use those post office self serve machine and mail something first class, the sticker has a big FCM on it for first class mail? Makes me laugh everytime. me=12
I've now been in my own house for 6 years, 7 in December! Before that was like 7 years in the previous apartment, and maybe six in the apartment before that?
At least each move has been happier than the one before!
My mom just moved out of her home of 53 years, so she's got you all beat!

That's hilarious.
Tom, that's a great color for your bedroom. Speaking as someone with a BRIGHT YELLOW bedroom, it's good to wake up in a cheery place.
I just discovered that I was overpaid by $320 my last pay. But now I'm going to have to give it back!!

My dad has lived in the same place his entire life - he's in his mid-70s. Although at one point my parents had our 110 year old farmhouse torn down and a new one built in its place. We lived in a trailer house parked on our front lawn for 3 months while the new house was built.
Dammit! My DVR didn't know that the Daily Show was new, so I only just put it on, and it is! BAH.
This happened to me too. So it's not *our* fault.
Tom, that blue looks fabulous!
15 homes.
Oh yeah, bon, then I looked and it didn't think Colbert was new for the rest of the week, even though it was picking up TDS. FYI.
I think, on a quick count, I've racked up nine homes in 36 years. Apparently this makes me an underachiever.
I sit in the underachiever corner with billytea. I'm up to 7 in 27 years, although soon to be 8.
