Wash: Psychic, though? That sounds like something out of science fiction. Zoe: We live in a space ship, dear. Wash: So?

Wow, I'm impressed by people who've watched all the nominated movies! I haven't. But what I HAVE done is skipped to the end of natter because I figure there will be more dress critiquing here!!

Hi Natterinos!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I may watch the Oscars this year. Is the pre-show worth tuning in to? That's where we get to make fun of people's outfits, right?

Are Dolly Parton's breasts real?

ETA: 'Cause I mean, if so, wow.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

flea, she claims they are. But given that her hair isn't, her eyelashes aren't, she has gotten and will get facelifts, I'm not sure if I believe her breasts are real.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

But given that her hair isn't, her eyelashes aren't, she has gotten and will get facelifts, I'm not sure if I believe her breasts are real.

Yeah, but she's always had the breasts.

And I had the impression she was pretty open about the wigs and stuff.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I wouldn't doubt that they've been lifted, but I do not think they have been augmented.

Keira Knightley's native accent freaked me out for some reason. She sounded about 45 and very country-gentry, all plummy. Or is my UK ear really off?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Commenting on the subject of plastic surgery, Parton is (not surprisingly) as skillful as she is in discussing marital fidelity. "All my life I've heard people say, 'If God had wanted us to be like this he would have made us this way,' and so on," she asserts. "Well, God made us naked too. I can't see what's wrong in doing a little something to make yourself look better so you can feel better about yourself."
I mention the recent nationwide controversy over the safety of silicone breast implants. Is she concerned for herself?
Parton remains deliberately vague on that one. "I've had my breasts lifted," she admits. "And I had myself a few little nips and tucks here and there, but I'm not frightened about the work I had done. Everything you do in life carries a risk to some degree, and you just have to decide if it's worth it. Life's a gamble, isn't it?"

From here.
