This is not funny. This... this is a morality tale about the evils of sake.

I've never done any sort of instant messaging...no wait. There was something I used to do on the VAX back in college. Talk? Phone? But since then, nope. I tend not to answer my phone, too.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I used gmail chat last night with DH . It works well.

I cook dried fruit in my oatmeal, It makes it more tasty - and I rarely need brown sugar or anything like that.

mmm... donuts. I would have to leave the house and that isn't happening today.

cute nephews

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Thanks, Nilly. I invited you to chat, but now I have to run to a dentist appointment.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

From Slashdot:

"Tentatively scheduled for a spacewalk this summer, a Russian cosmonaut will take his trusty six iron and a special weightless-friendly tee and put a golf ball into orbit from outside the International Space Station. The golf ball has an embedded transmitter so that it can be tracked as it orbits. It is expected to orbit for 3 to 4 years before burning up on re-entry. The golf shot is the result of promotional fees paid to the Russian space agency by a Canadian golf club manufacturer."

Let's hope he doesn't make a bad swing and rip a big divot out of the hull of the International Space Station.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

We totally used talk (ntalk? Why is that ringing a bell in my head?) in college! So funny.

okay this made me cry! because...Tim Gunn!

I know!

But maybe he and Andrae can have dinner at the Red Lobster and work things out.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I continue to be unable to resist saying PR lines with the slightest provocation. This week, it's apparently, "What happened to Andrae?!"

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'll totally talk to you on Google Talk, Nilly!

"You Don't Know Dick": VP Shooting Action Figure Launched...

JUST when Dick Cheney thought it was safe to rear his "aimless" head, someone goes and immortalizes the veep's quail-hunting mishap in an action figure. HeroBuilders.com yesterday launched a "You Don't Know Dick" doll, complete with shotgun, scowl and "retractable-spike kick shoes" - just like the pair 007 villain Rosa Klebb sported in "From Russia with Love."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The Tim Gunn stuff confuses me.

I have achieved donuts--one jelly filled, one chocolate glazed. But I can't eat them until my tea has finished brewing.

I IM very sporadically, which means when I sign on I'm immediately in five conversations and I feel bad leaving the computer ever.

I remember talk from UNIX days. I think I even pulled it off across systems with my sister. Not sure how, though.
