Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am freezing in the Angelica lobby. like hat on and hoodie up freezing. but it looks pretty outside, just too damn cold.

Hence my feeling that it would be best to be in a heated car -- outside, but warm!

You know, I don't think I've ever seen a movie there. Weird. That can't be right.

OK, this is somewhat annoying -- Bravo's doing a Project Runway marathon today, but they aren't showing the first one! I mean, that was a real episode, right -- the one where the blonde and the now-thinner guy got cut? Well, I guess I didn't see this one either (or at least most of it), so that's OK.

Here's my real question -- did Heidi actually "Models, this also is a competition for you as well" every single time??

I think so, because it was the prelude to the previous challenge's winner deciding on his/her model for the current challenge ("It's a motherfucking walkoff!"). I'm taping the first 8 hours ('cause that's all that'll fit on my tape) of the marathon for my mom (the rest of the season is going to be reshown on Wednesday, so I'll catch them then).

Mom's never seen any reality TV, but has agreed to check out the tapes when I mail them to her because it is all about clothes and sewing. All the women on my mom's side of the family sew (except for me), and my Aunt Evelyn actually attended a clothes design school in Chicago back in the late '60s. I think she'll really like watching the different challenges.

Why did no one ever help her with the construction of that sentence, is my question. Although, Tyra says "You're still in the running toward becoming America's Next Top Model" every time, and that's equally wacked.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

I got chicken pox my senior year of high school.(My brother got it from a classmate, brought it home and gave it to me) It timed out well, as I had finished my college applications and interviews, and it was between the mid-winter dance and the prom. I was bored out of my mind...

I've always heard that the older you are when you get either chicken pox or your tonsils removed, the worse it is. My brother had his tonsils taken out when he was 12, and he really had a hard time recovering. My sister and I went in together (she was six, I was four), and I was talking the next day (freaked my uncle out when I came out to the kitchen to ask for a doughnut).

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I got chicken pox from the kids I babysat finals week of my sophomore year of h.s., and I thanked god sincerely for it. They gave me the grades I had when I left school, and I didn't have to take finals, and that was the ONLY reason I got a D- instead of an F in Geometry.

Then there was the post-doc I worked with in the lab I did my Masters work. He was in his 40s when he got chicken pox, although I seem to remember it manifesting as shingles. He was not a happy camper.(It didn't help that he had auto-immune problems to begin with...)

I've been busy and only just watched it on tape. What did other Survivor peeps think of this week's ep?

This week's immunity challenge was hella-exciting, and it's nice to see a team on a losing streak get back in the game at immunity. I get a little bored when one team just utterly dominates another at immunity, until they have to mix up the teams again to keep things going. Though I did like watching one team go all the way down to one member on Steph's first Survivor.

Also, I was a bit sad to see Bobby go, but how much did I love Pimp!Dad and Pimp!brother in the family video at the end? Lot's. They cracked me up.

I went and bought groceries this afternoon, and now that it's time to make supper, I don't feel like eating anything I've bought. I could order pizza, but that was going to be a my oscar watching treat What to do, what to do...
