Then there was the post-doc I worked with in the lab I did my Masters work. He was in his 40s when he got chicken pox, although I seem to remember it manifesting as shingles. He was not a happy camper.(It didn't help that he had auto-immune problems to begin with...)

I've been busy and only just watched it on tape. What did other Survivor peeps think of this week's ep?
This week's immunity challenge was hella-exciting, and it's nice to see a team on a losing streak get back in the game at immunity. I get a little bored when one team just utterly dominates another at immunity, until they have to mix up the teams again to keep things going. Though I did like watching one team go all the way down to one member on Steph's first Survivor.
Also, I was a bit sad to see Bobby go, but how much did I love Pimp!Dad and Pimp!brother in the family video at the end? Lot's. They cracked me up.
I went and bought groceries this afternoon, and now that it's time to make supper, I don't feel like eating anything I've bought. I could order pizza, but that was going to be a my oscar watching treat What to do, what to do...
So I told my parents that I'm moving to Chicago. My father is convinced that I'm going to be mugged and beaten. He also keeps mentioning the higher cost of living, as if I didn't know things are more expensive there.
I know they're concerned because they love me, but at some point, I'm going to break and ask them if they think they've raised a complete moron.
Movie 2 is complete. I have traversed to Theater #2 and tossed in a mile walk just for fun. I still got here early. Luckily, I also am getting a wifi signal here. love it.
OMG I am so glad we went to see our pediatrician today. And I'm glad I trusted my instincts about the not-not-pox. Turns out, it wasn't chicken pox, which is why it didn't clear up on its own. It's some kind of strep infection (like impetigo, I guess). He put her on antibiotics too, and I need to bathe them both with an antibacterial soap.
So still a PITA, but at least they'll be feeling better soon. My bad mommy guilt is somewhat assuaged, although I wish I hadn't trusted the first doctor who said it was flea bites.
thank goodness you have a diagnosis and some treatments. poor kiddies.
I am wearing my zip front hoodie today that says Jackholia (as in place where all the Jackholes live, and place where I am the Mayor) and people keep staring at it, obviously reading it and trying to make some sense of it. Totally making my day. Well taht and the background music of Captain and Tenille the theater is playing.
Aw, poor bunnies! I hope she's better soon.
Oh, Burrell, I'm so glad you've got a firm diagnosis. Hope everyone feels better soon!
