Well, you'd better not be thinking what I think you're thinking, because my answer is the same as always — no threesomes unless it's boy-boy-girl. Or Charlize Theron.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Um...don't cave on not putting a 6YO boy in a dress for a public event, ok. Don't cave on letting a 6YO boy strew flowers at a wedding -- WTF?????

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

See, having a flower boy? Awesome. Dress, makeup, hair extensions?!? CRAZY.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Someone upthread was speculating about Bush ties to the UAE. Here's an article about that.

The oil-rich United Arab Emirates is a major investor in The Carlyle Group, the private equity investment group where the President's father once served as senior advisor, and is a who's who of former high level government officials... Just last year, Dubai International Capital, a government buyout firm, invested in an 8 billion dollar Carlyle fund. Another family connection, the president's brother, Neil Bush, has reportedly received funding for his education software company from UAE investors.

State bill proposes Christianity be Missouri’s official religion

Damnit. I just found out a good friend and her family are moving to southern Virginia. We started here within a month of each other. It's a really good move for them and I'm happy for her, but damnit. I like my friday lunch trio the way it was.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The resolution would recognize "a Christian god," and it would not protect minority religions, but "protect the majority's right to express their religious beliefs."

'Cuz we really do need more protection of the majority's right to fuck with the minority....

and even more crazy:

U.S. Cites Exception in Torture Ban
McCain Law May Not Apply to Cuba Prison

sorry for the thread killing...

Megan E. - Mar 03, 2006 8:47:43 am PST #1202 of 10001

more protection of the majority's right to fuck with the minority....

Exactly! it's that old "giving acknowledging the rights of the minority deminishes the rights of the majority" falacy.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Someone upthread was speculating about Bush ties to the UAE.

That was me, and it's comforting at least to know that I'll never go broke speculating that every decision this adminstration makes is in its own/crony's interest, and certainly not in the interest in the people of the country.

Is there a Vegas line I could get in on? I could be RICH I tell you, RICH.

t /fucking vomitously disgusted

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Can Missouri's resolution be challenged under our Constitution? I thought we were supposed to have a separation of church and state? How can the state (any state) acknowledge an official religion?
