Kaylee: Captain seem a little funny to you at breakfast this morning? Wash: Come on, Kaylee. We all know I'm the funny one.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

I'm a mix of Peppermint Patty and Marcie. With some Lucy, these days. But mostly Peppermint Patty, I think.

I call Woodstock.

Actually, I always identified with Linus.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I just bought the book Misfortune yesterday by Wesley Stace.

Anybody here reading it? It looks like the kind of book Buffistas would read. "A fun book...full of orphans, decadence, flouncy skirts, greed, deception, amnesia, incest, murder and all manner of meditation on sexual identity...Like some inspired collaboration between Charles Dickens and Pedro Almodovar." - Washington Post.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Ooh! I haven't read it yet, but I have the sort-of-companion CD, Songs of Misfortune, by the Love Hall Tryst. It's awesome: murder ballads and doomed lovers galore. Want me to send you a couple tracks?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Big trouble in WBBville. I asked the BF what Peanuts character I would be and he said Lucy. LUCY!!! Because I'm "brave but can be a little bossy." I, outraged, responded "But she's crabby. Am I crabby? I don't think so. grumble crabby grumble Lucy grumble." When I asked him why he didn't see any Snoopy in me, he said, "Well, Snoopy is disloyal and runs off and leaves Charlie Brown a lot. And he steals; he takes Linus' blanket all the time. You are very loyal and honest." I never knew he had a hate on for Snoopy.

At least he instantly responded that I was Piglet when we discussed the Pooh universe.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Lucy is a badass.

Lucy is a badass. And she's the original strong female character.

Hey. New board.

I don't know enough Peanuts to really parse this conversation, I'm afraid.
