'Out Of Gas'
Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
I'm waiting until I go to Jilli's signing to purchase a book.
Oh right! Well, I guess I'll have to bring the one I bought today. (Is that bad form, bringing my own book to a signing when it's at a bookstore? Oh well, I'll buy something else while I'm there.)
Which bookstore is the signing at, Jessica? They might have rules about bringing merchandise in from outside. Some places only let you stand in the signing line once you've purchased the item you want signed from them.
Which bookstore is the signing at, Jessica?
Well, there's the Mysterious Bookshop on the Friday night. Or Jessica could bring her copy of the book to the picnic on Saturday.
I haz THE book!!! Took me a bit to find it. It was in the cultural studies section. Not sure where I really expected it but that had not been my first thought.
Perhaps the asparagus and strawberries section.
I have my copy of Gothic Charm School! It's beautiful. Now to hatch an evil plan to see Jilli again and have her sign it.
Sightings of the book, in stores! Eeeee!
Man. I can't get my book 'til next week. (Broke 'til payday.)
I'm disappointed I don't have it RIGHT now.
BTW, I was telling a friend of mine about it and she was really interested. I'm going to send her a link to your website, Jilli.
I too have the book.
In the Country Club Plaza B&N, there were no copies in the "Cultural Studies" section, but there were four copies on the cart next to the "New In Paperback" table up front, waiting to be placed.
In the Independence B&N, there were no copies on display yet, but after I inquired, the clerk brought me one from the stockroom. I said "Thank you," wandered around the store a bit longer, then left it on the "New In Paperback" table on my way out.
In the Zona Rosa B&N (far north end of Kansas City), I only found one copy, in the "Cultural Studies" section. Since that is my "local" B&N, that's the one I bought.
The only thing I saw that looked like competition was one copy of The Goth Bible on the shelf in Independence.
