Lydia: Its removal from Burma is a felony and when triggered it has the power to melt human eyeballs. Giles: In that case I've severely underpriced it.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Are you folks reading the manga? There are two volumes of it so far, and it's just as cute as the books. If not more so.

I've seen them, but I haven't read them yet.

Jilli and Steph, what books?

Vampire Kisses by Ellen Schreiber. AKA Jilli's favorite YA vampire series.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

AKA The AU Adventures of Teenage Jilli.

Oh yes.

It's Chibi!Jilli, and she's adorable.

“Not dead yet!”

Pimping again-- if anyone wants a paranormal romance novella that's got some nice suspense to it, my critique partner, Selah, has one available at this site: [link]

Or if you just want to read it on her site, you can, here: [link]

It's a really good story that I think the SPN fans, in particular, might dig.

Always Anti-fascist!

Teenage Jilli would be fun to read about.

Barb, I'd never read anything by her before. That was stunning.

“Not dead yet!”

Isn't it, Deena? She really has an amazing gift and is carving a nice little niche for herself in e-pub. Thing about her, too, is that she's what can be really, really good about e-publishing. It works for her, because of her particular family situation (because of time constraints, she can write in the short formats far more easily, for one thing) yet she never uses it as an excuse to slack on the quality of characterization or plot.

She totally rocks.

I'll be mentioning that story in the next issue of Membra Disjecta, if I ever get it up. I have, I think, bronchitis--something's making it hard to breathe or stay awake longer than an hour at a time anyway. Hopefully it will be up this weekend.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Barb, your friend's story was lovely, although I think I've been reading too much SPN fic, because I couldn't help but picture Thann as played by Jared Padalecki. Not that this is a bad thing, but between the hazel eyes and the shoulders and the shaggy hair, it seemed a perfect fit.
