Jeez, don't get all Movie of the Week. I was just too cheap to buy you a real present.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

That's exactly what he's saying.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

So as long as the marriage is between male and female - even if it's one man and 32 women (some of them underage girls who didn't want to marry) - it's OK, but if two people of the same sex want to marry it's grounds for a revolution? sigh.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

A few years ago he also had the audacity to write, in essence, that gays *can* marry...people of the opposite gender. So what's the problem?

What a fucktard.

Aims has a good idea that I think we'll do. We're going to mail him his books back with a nice note explaining why we can no longer stomach his shit in our house.

Can you send them with insufficient postage, so HE has to pay for them? (I get evil on Mondays)

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

That was my first thought!

“Not dead yet!”

You can also send them back with the covers removed, ala remaindered books that no one gives a shit about.

Even the hardcovers?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

If you remove the covers (a la remaindered books), be sure to enclose a copy of this poem: [link]

“Not dead yet!”

I can't remember what they do with hardcovers. Probably just remove the dustjackets, but I don't know. I could, however, find out.

Because books.

The covers are removed to save postage, actually--rather than a store sending back the whole book, they just send the covers. I bet the dust jacket *is* what gets sent for hardcovers, Barb.
