Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Robert Asprin, RIP. Apparently quite young too! Yeah--born in 1946, according to Wikipedia.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Aw. I know I had a copy of Mything Persons for no apparent reason, and I don't think I ever read it. But I do like a good pun.

That's such a shame. I read some of his Thieve's World books.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I loved the Another Fine Myth series. (Pervert. No! Pervect!)

I also read the first Thieves' World book. It was very well done but exactly the wrong thing when you're in the mood for something light and entertaining.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

This is the sort of thing that makes me feel old. I knew Bob back in the Yang the Nauseating days. This is like the sixth recent death of people I knew in my early con-going days.

William Carlos Williams fans will appreciate today's Wondermark.
