I love that movie, but whenever I try to describe it to someone, it makes them laugh.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

I feel the opposite! But A Man Escaped is my favorite Bresson, so I don't know what that says, except that we're talking French cinema in the Literary thread.
Will it help if I say I do like his literary adaptations, Les Dames du Bois de Boulogne and Journal d'un curé de campagne?
I've never even heard of him.
French cinema was one of my favorite classes as an undergrad. Alas, I speak no French (except menu).
except menu
Ah, but do you know what menu actually means?
Regardless, I'm sure you know tons of other things.
En garde! Fromage! Cherchez la femme!
