ah, Ponette. I'm STILL dehydrated from having seen that movie.
But it does have a happyish ending right?
'Lineage'
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Au hasard Balthazar
I love that movie, but whenever I try to describe it to someone, it makes them laugh.

A donkey laugh?
Hee-haw!
Sam Wainright.
Sam Wainright.
Bwah! I totally went there too.
You sadist. Why don't you just send her Mouchette and Au hasard Balthazar while you're at it.
At least
Ponette

Signed,
I hate Bresson with the heat of thousand suns, or, rather, la chaleur de mille soleils.
I feel the opposite! But A Man Escaped is my favorite Bresson, so I don't know what that says, except that we're talking French cinema in the Literary thread.
Will it help if I say I do like his literary adaptations, Les Dames du Bois de Boulogne and Journal d'un curé de campagne?
