I like books. I just don't want to take on too much. Do they have an introduction to the modern blurb?

Buffy ,'Lessons'

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

the other character must show them they are beautiful via sexual intercourse (sometimes in midair).

t blinks

And here I thought the wackiness was just confined to, hey, woke up with wings!

There is not enough WTF in the world.

Art Crawl!!!

You know what's great?

The concept of wingfic makes me laugh and laugh without even having to read any of it.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

That makes me think... if I were to wake up with functional birdlike wings some day, there would shortly be a whole lot of flaky evangelists and bible-thumping neocons running into some serious difficulties with their more zealous followers.

Always Anti-fascist!

Now that's a story, Matt. Seriously.

move out and draw fire

Wow...my initial guess was West Wing fanfic. Couldn't have been farther off, huh?

And ITA with erika that Matt's idea is a story.

What is even happening?

Definitely not limited to that, but I can see where that would be top notch fodder.

Oh, I didn't mean fan fic. I thought it was a canonical X-Men character. Why I thought that, I don't know, because I haven't read X-Men or seen the films.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

it was a canonical X-Men character

It is. Warren Worthington III a.k.a. Angel. You might have seen him in the trailer for the new one. [link]

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Wow...my initial guess was West Wing fanfic.

That's OK, I thought it was jet airplane fanfic a la TOP GUN. I guess that could be Tail Fic too.
