I'm sorry. You were going to ask me to choose, right? Did you want to finish?

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Snerk. Puzzle Embedded in Da Vinci Code ruling [link]

If you pluck all the italicized letters out of the text, you find that the first 10 spell "Smithy Code," an apparent play on "Da Vinci Code." But the next series of letters, some 30 or so, are a jumble, and this is the mystery that needs to be solved to break the code.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I still can't forgive Koontz for the phrase "his well-oiled piston of lovemaking."

I'm not sure I can forgive Gutenberg for the phrase "his well-oiled piston of lovemaking."

I can't even.

I still can't forgive Koontz for the phrase "his well-oiled piston of lovemaking."

Well, he is a horror writer. Nah, I don't think there's an apologia for that. WTF? Piston? Oil? I think I'm trapped in the Uncanny Valley. Maybe I can make it a BSG thing in my head and escape. Toaster Sex!

Hi, Lola... I'll have that song in my head, now. You don't "look like a woman and walk like a man" do you?

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I have to tell my mom my final book count now that they're all boxed up for the move on Monday--I've got 19 boxes completely stuffed and very heavy (thank God for professional movers!), and that's after I weeded out ten boxes since last fall.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I've got 19 boxes completely stuffed and very heavy (thank God for professional movers!), and that's after I weeded out ten boxes since last fall.

I think I counted about 25 today now that everything is packed up, and I weeded stuff out too.

Because books.

sj, did you ever mail those books to me? Not like I don't know you're completely crazed with moving, but I just wanted to let you know they never arrived if you did.

Also, 25 book boxes! Kindred spirits, babe. I forget how many we had last time, but it was right up there. After culling, as well.
