P-C, you'll want The Subtle Knife before Amber Spyglass.
Er. Yeah, that's totally what I meant! (Thanks for setting me straight, though; I totally would have gotten the wrong book!)
Buffy ,'Same Time, Same Place'
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

I kept reading it in starts and stops because it just couldn't hold my interest.
Thats my problem too, but I started it with only a few weeks before i have to have it done, and now Im down to 3 more days to finish it. 200 pages of boring, then not, then boring in 3 days!
Man, I don't fit in around here, huh? ;)
Probably better than me. My posts are mostly ignored in the Natter thread
It takes a while for folks to get used to a new person. I remember being thrilled when someone finally noticed one of my posts, long after I delurked.
And natter moves fast....and can make even longtime posters feel like "Didn't anyone SEE my important post about X? Geeez"

In terms of Quaker fiction - if you don't mind something not at all new:

Thats certainly confusing. I have no clue who Perry Cox is, lol. And Im 15, so I dont have a paypal account.
I liked The Life of Pi except the ending, which made me dislike what I'd already read.
Today I finally finished The Remains of the Day only about 3 years after I first started it. Now I feel like I have to reread it again, at the very least I'm going to watch the movie.
Oh, he's on Scrubs. And you wouldn't have to send me a quarter, even if you could. It's a joke...long story. But apparently I could get into the elder stateswoman thing. But I don't mean porn by that.
