The adverbs have never bothered me, but FAQWife has complained to me about them. She does appreciate, however, that they have at least gotten more interested and varied as the books have progressed.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
She does appreciate, however, that they have at least gotten more interested and varied as the books have progressed.
It's true! Although she's still very fond of "sneeringly"
Is there a Buffista login for boston.com? The first one is great, and the second one is amusing, but I can't read the last two.
I never noticed the adverbs, but I like adverbs and think they're unfairly villified.
...she declared emphatically.
For reasons completely unassociated with the Potter-verse, I really, really want there to be a big scene with all the Deatheaters unmasked, and everyone out of Azkaban, and all in one place at one time. This comment would be equally relevant in Boxed Set or Movies, though, so, to make it Literary-specific, my list of Thing What Need To Happen (1/8 through GoF in my final review):
- Harry needs to not die. No, really. I've got narrative-theory reasons why.
- We need to hear from both Dumbledore and Sirius again, in some form. Because, really, could you get any more half-assed about dying, for either of them? It's a frigging phoenix
- Graduation Day. From Buffy.
- Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione, so that they're all family (and Harry finally, really has one). This can just be in the long-term, rather than immediate.
- Remus happy. Because one of the Marauders should be
- House Elves, Centaurs, and Giants all being important. As do Durmstang and Beauxbatons.
- Neville. I have no further coherent thoughts, but he needs to be important. Key, even.
- Graduation Day. Harry should get at least a Hogwarts-equivalency whatever. So he can be an auror, if he so chooses. Because he's not going to die.
- Ron needs to be awesome, in at least one moment
- Harry needs to save the Dursleys. (preferably, and then be all "whatever" about it)
- Snape needs to be not-evil. Harry can't have been right from day 1, and Dumbledore wrong.
- Brothers. Albus's and Sirius's.
- Percy. Just, some resolution.
- Some final something with the founders. Not sure what. Might have something to do with Graduation Day. Or Godric's Hollow.
Connie, you do know that some people don't have the option to not read whitefont and can stumble on your post unawares?
Oh, yes - no death for Harry.
Ooh, there are canonical reasons why there could be a GIANT snake - at Graduation or thereabouts.
Happy Remus - yes. Harry with family - yes.
Neville coming into his own and Ron - absolutely. (I worry that it's Ron's death.) The redemption of Snape in the eyes of people who matter.
I could go on but I think I'll just say -- what DebetEsse said.
Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione, so that they're all family (and Harry finally, really has one). This can just be in the long-term, rather than immediate.
OBHWF! Heh.
I basically agree with all those wishes. That would make a rollicking good time.
