I just finished The Final Problem by Arturo Perez-Reverte and it is excellent. Sherlock Holmes, um, adjacent? Heavily referential, anyway. With excellent treatment of Moriarty and Irene Adler, anyone who was into Elementary’s version would likely enjoy this, I think (not that they are similar versions at all but similarly thoughtful and cool?)
Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
Thanks for the rec. Hold placed.
We have that on our FL Book Club potential list. I'll see about doing that one in June.
I took ltc to a book festival on Saturday and she talked Catherynne Valente’s ear off and then was the first one to raise her hand and ask a question after Joe Hill and Christopher Golden’s author talk. She also told several authors that she is already a writer. It’s like she has all of my interest but a poise and confidence I have never possessed.
Go ltc! That’s awesome!
She is pretty awesome. Sorry to be all ltc likes carrots.
She is pretty awesome.
She is! I'm a Patreon for Cat Valente and she has a whole forum for fans (not unlike Table Talk but smaller), so she really fosters community.
Sorry to be all ltc likes carrots.
That's your job! You're supposed to be her hype man.
I want to hear about all the carrots ltc likes!
Vicarious carrots are the best
