Spike? It's you. It's really you! My therapist thought I was holding on to false hope, but…I knew you'd come back. You're like…you're like Gandalf the White, resurrected from the pit of the Balrog, more beautiful than ever. Oh…he's alive Frodo. He's alive.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Ha!

Hm, I wonder how old my paperwhite is now...I have managed to lose all the charging cables with the right connector (for values of "lose" = "they aren't right next to where I currently have my kindle sitting or where I thought I was keeping them") so I haven't charged it up in a bit, not sure if it actually works...

I have two paperwhites—one is very old and I had lost it at a friend’s house for several months and bought a new one (also because the new one was waterproof). The other day I couldn’t find the new one so was like crap and charged up the old one…finally figured out why I thought I’d read this one book but didn’t remember anything about it—I was like 25% in on the old one and never finished it!

New Penric also out this week. The Adventure of the Demonic Ox (Searching for ”Penric and” didn’t find it!) Rich pickins.

Demonic Ox is still not on Kobo, however. Just checked. I gather it will be there (as well as B&N, Apple, and Google, but that can take up to a week, per her blog on Goodreads).

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I have tickets for a book signing for Leigh Bardugo at the end of August! It’s for her new children’s book but she’ll sign up to two additional books! So do I bring the Six of Crows Duology or the two Ninth House books or The Familiar? I can’t decide! Help!

Ooh, tough call! I’m leaning Ninth House but I don’t think there are wrong choices there. Should be fun!

I’m leaning Six of Crows but I also really loved The Familiar, but there is not another stand alone to go with it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I vote Ninth House, but I haven't read the others.
