Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, yeah, that is unsettling

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Since the city's going to be swamped with tourists and hottern' ever, that sounds like a good way to spend tomorrow.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Well, that just answered my question of what to read next!

It was!

If you're looking for something - I recently loaned a co-worker a boxed set (three books) of a series by Jenifer Lynn Barnes. The first is The Inheritance Games - a young woman who's grown up poor suddenly inherits a huge fortune from the richest man in Texas (the US?) who she doesn't know, isn't related and she has no idea why. There's a long series of puzzles that she - and some of the rich man's (disinherited) grandsons - have to solve to get more of an idea of why. It was written as a YA series, but it's enjoyable.

I read the first one of those and it was very good. The second or third (forget if I read the third) went a little overboard imo.
