Although what I really want is the next Swordheart. Someday, I hope.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
The Paladin books are the only Kingfisher books I’ve had trouble getting into. I think I’ll try the first one again but in audio form this time.
The Doctrine of Labyrinths
Melusine, which I think is the first book in the series, is on sale for Kindle right now ($1.99). [link]
That is the first book, yes. And, dang it, I paid $10!
Do the Paladin books and the Clockwork Boys books take place in the same universe?
Yes. I think there might be characters that appear in both? Could be wrong about that
Okay, thanks -t. They feel like the same universe. I didn’t have trouble with the clockwork books but tge first Paladin book I couldn’t get through the first time.
I believe so. There are references to the Clockworks that stopped working a while back, and some of the cities have the same name.
Before you posted the sale, I put Melusine on hold at the library. TBH, it doesn't necessarily sound like my taste, but for Katherine Addison (and a rec from you guys, of course), I'll give it a try.
Can an audiobook be listen from the hall? Because I think that’s my problem with Paladin’s Grace. I keep cringing for the female protagonist.
